To maintain accuracy, professionalism, and consistency across all published announcements, Apex Strategy, LLC requires that all submitted press releases follow the guidelines outlined below. These standards ensure every release meets newsroom-quality expectations and represents your organization clearly and credibly.


1. General Submission Requirements

  • All submissions must be factual, accurate, and verifiable.

  • Press releases must be written in professional, third-person voice (no “I” or “we” unless in quoted statements).

  • All submissions must be original content and free from plagiarism.

  • Content must align with the purpose of a press release — announcements, launches, events, statements, updates, or organizational news.

  • Releases that include inaccurate claims, unverified statements, or promotional sales language may be declined or edited.


2. Required Press Release Structure

Each press release must include the following elements:

A. Headline

  • Clear, concise, news-style headline (8–12 words preferred).

  • Should summarize the announcement without marketing hype.

B. Subheadline (Optional)

  • One sentence expanding on the headline.

  • Adds context or clarifies the significance.

C. Dateline

Format: CITY, STATE — Month Day, Year
Example: Brownstown Township, MI — March 14, 2026

D. Body Content (3–6 Paragraphs)

Your main content should include:

  • What is happening?

  • Who is involved?

  • Why is this newsworthy?

  • Relevant background information

  • Benefits or impact on community, customers, or stakeholders

  • Future plans, next steps, or timelines

E. Quotes

Include at least one quote from a leader, spokesperson, or key individual.
Example:
“Quote goes here,” said Name, Title.

F. Boilerplate

A short “About Us” paragraph describing your organization.
(50–100 words recommended.)

G. Media Contact Information

Include:

  • Contact person

  • Organization

  • Phone number

  • Email address

  • Website


3. Formatting Requirements

  • Length: 250–650 words preferred

  • Submit in .docx, .pdf, or plain text format

  • Use standard punctuation and AP-style structure

  • Avoid ALL CAPS, emojis, excessive exclamation marks, or marketing-heavy language

  • Hyperlinks must be reputable and relevant

  • Logos or images may be included (optional)


4. Allowed Content Types

Submissions may include:

  • Business announcements

  • Nonprofit updates or initiatives

  • Political campaign or advocacy statements

  • Government or public policy notices

  • Event announcements

  • Product or service launches

  • Awards or recognitions

  • Partnerships or collaborations

5. Disallowed Content

  • AI-generated content without human review

6. Review & Publication Process

  1. Submit your press release through the designated submission portal or email.

  2. Apex Strategy’s editorial team reviews content for clarity, accuracy, structure, and guideline compliance.

  3. Minor edits may be made for grammar, formatting, or SEO optimization.

  4. You will receive approval confirmation once the release is scheduled or published.

  5. Most approved releases are published within 48–72 hours.
